In this era of Science and Technology, it is necessary for Educational planners to think of integrating students' learning in all subjects with ICT. This in fact will enable our students gain an inquiry mind on various issues related to their subject. Believe me or not, it is possible to make students learn your subject even if you are not present at that time. Whats you need to do is just you prepare your materials and make them accessible on electronic mode. This can be in audio, video, animations, PowerPoint, just to mention a few and make them accessible to learners directly in the class or just post them on the internet via your blog or site you have created at your school.
In my view educating students on the use of ICT in their daily study life is interesting, engaging, motivating and make them think and rethink.
What you presented mlimandoke is absolutely truth ICT has helped teachers to evaluate their teaching by looking at their students creativity and performance using ICT. in real sense no need of the students missing their lesson due to absence of their teacher while they can simply lean by using ICT.

ReplyDeleteHowever, if it is teleconferencing or recorded power point presentation, the learner now loses the physical touch which may be necessary to enhance classroom management and emotional security.I think the Experts should take note of this challenge and begin working on it.

ReplyDeleteWe as teacher leaders let us air our concerns to the stakeholders so that our students can have smartphones, tablets, ipads and laptops. Hopefully these can simplify their study life.
DeleteICT integration in our classrooms is a practical example of how lessons have become so interesting and captivating. it making me wanting more and more and more information. ICT has made my lessons more interesting reflective and made me think critically about a lot of things one of which is how i can integrate in the institution i will return to.
